Music lovers unfamiliar with world music will feel that the have suddenly happened upon a treasure chest of gold that opens up a whole new world... These volumes serve as an excellent discovery guide for approaching and buying the music of less commercial regions of the globe - however, for this reason, some recordings are not available on Amazon. Readers in large cities may have easier access to recordings via their public library or musicians passing through in concert. Depending on the artist, Youtube can sometimes be of help. As I love African music, this was my favorite volume of all. Enjoy!

Bigger and better!

The Rough Guides--the CDs and the books--offer spectacular resources for anyone interested in international music. This is the first volume in a projected 3-volume set that will replace the current two-volume edition. The material on Africa and the Middle East present about 50% more material than before, and include suggested "playlists" in addition to the biographical and discographical information included in the previous edition. As a radio programmer I find the Rough Guides quite useful.

A very digestible book on measure theory

One of the difficulty of studying a math book is to figure out the details of a proof. In graduate texts there are frequent claims in the course of a proof that the authors make and the readers are supposed to check by themselves. If you do not have access to a professor this will cause problems. In Yeh’s book all the relevant details are presented and things are crystal clear. On the other hand the theorems are presented very precisely and the materials it covers is huge. Just take a look at the contents. The 3ed edition is the same as the second plus 50 pages of more material added at the end of the book and tens of more exercises. This is an excellent book for self-study at graduate level written in a reader friendly manner.

Yeh's manual in the theory of measure and integration.

This work has intrigued me to an extent like nothing else in the field of mathematics, not only because of the content, but also because the method of presentation in an unusual degree made it suitable for self-study. This book contains all the theory and problems needed for a student to obtain a good background in real analysis assuming only calculus. The author is mindful of the troubles of beginners; each theorem is provided with a detailed proof; each chapter systematically starts where the previous left off; he includes an abundant supply of exercises; et cetera.

I would definitely recommend that you use this book as your primary guide in real analysis.

This book easily passes off as an encyclopedia in real analysis. I applause prof Yeh for his clarity in writing and the attention he paid to small details in all of his proofs. These small details are often those things that make the proof to a theorem laden with gaps which makes it hard to follow. The style of writing is lucid so that anyone with a sound grounding in introductory analysis would find the book an easy read. Although I have yet to plough through the entire book (> 700 pages), I was captivated by the first few pages on his exposition on the sigma algebra and limit superior and inferior of sets. Prof Yeh has the unique ability to explain concepts and turn confusion into understanding. I photocopied his second edition and when his third edition was released, guess what? I bought it!

Drop the class!!!!!!!!

I cannot stress enough. If your college professor is assigning this book for you course, Run... Run far away. It's is full of wikipediaesce writing, Shutterstock images that don't even match the concept being communicated, Horrible stories and no actual useful information. Drop the course and take something else. If you are in a Junior High School Entrepreneurship course, it will be a great resource for you. I am not kidding when I say one of the images they used of a "breadstore" clerk showed up in a advertisement for commercial trucks in Kazakhstan. I was on an Air Astana flight thumbing through the "in-flight" magazine and thought.. "I recognize this cheesy shutterstock image" I also noticed that they decided to choose a series of shutterstock images with an entirely different yet "ethnically" similar person to tell a continuing narrative. Monty was not the same Monty on page 248, 256, or 263.

Great! Great read!!! I had a feeling things wasn't going to go as planned..., and what happen to Aaron? I got a feeling that Cherish and Jade are going to turn out to be sister based off the story her mom told but I'm just guessing, Lol!!! I'm ready to see how everything is going to come to an end.. I can't for part 3

I liked the series but why are they dragging killing Chase on for so long? He should have been dead. I'm wondering what else besides his death will keep this series alive? There are a lot of errors which are annoying and takes away from the story. Also, I needed more details. Like how did Tre kill Jackpot? and why not go on and kill Aaron too. Are Jade and cherish sisters? I'm feeling like there are a lot of things left unresolved.

This book is proof that you don't have to torture yourself with restrictive diets to get the body you've always wanted. If you just understand how food works within your body, you will never have to suffer again to look the way you've always wanted to look. This book teaches you the best way to fuel your body, while still enjoying life's sweet pleasures. Seriously, there is a cupcake on the cover! You will learn how to treat yourself right, from someone who has been through it all, good and bad, and even has some delicious recipes for you to follow on your own.
Knowledge is power, and this book has it all.

The recipes are so easy to follow and delicious

The recipes are so easy to follow and delicious! I can't wait to have the Chocolate Protein Ice Cream again. Also, I personally have never like oatmeal but the recipe in Treat Yourself is so good I have oatmeal every morning for breakfast now. I am recommending this book to all my friends!

Julie keeps real when it comes to what we, as women, think and how we feel about ourselves. Her advice is spot on and really hit home. I can't wait to try out the recipes in the back of the book....drool!!!
